About Us
Villa Care is a property repair & maintenance service specialising in older period homes.
As the name suggests, caring for Villas and Bungalows is what we do!
Villa Care was started by English master craftsman Iain Swan (Carpentry & Joinery, City & Guilds London). Iain has lived in Auckland for over 20 years working for some of new Zealand’s largest construction companies. He now brings his extensive experience and expertise along with a personal touch to your home.
Rotten timber replacement (splicing)
A process where decayed parts of a window, door, or cladding are removed and replaced (spliced) using native timber, epoxy adhesives and stainless-steel fixings.
Replacement windows & doors
If a window or door is beyond economical repair, we can manufacture and install a replacement to match the existing joinery.
Glazing
We re-glaze broken windows. We also re-bed your original rattling or leaking glass on new putty.
Putty Pointing
We remove loose & cracked putty pointing and renew using traditional methods.
Our Services
Prior to painting inspection
We conduct a full survey and report on the condition of your property, identifying any issues to address before painting.
We install your chosen hardware to replace broken or unwanted fittings on doors, windows and cabinetry.
Joinery repairs
& alterations
Handrails, balustrades, skirting boards, architraves, anything made from wood! You name it, we’ll fix it.
